2025 KTM 300 XC-W Build Breakdown: Alec’s Ultimate Enduro Machine
Alec here from Slavens Racing, and I’ve wrapped up my 2025 KTM 300 XC-W build, ridden it, made som changes, and now I want to tell you about it. This project is loaded with parts designed to create the ultimate enduro package.
Suspension Upgrades
We started with top-tier suspension components: The MX-Tech Raven Complete Fork paired with the MX-Tech National Shock. This combo delivers incredible stability, traction, and comfort across all terrains. It’s hard to explain how good this setup is until you throw your leg over a bike with it – or better yet, have your own set built to your specs.
Engine & Performance
The engine got serious love with a TSP High Compression Head and TSP ERM ECU Module, to dial in the power delivery and throttle response. This has been an unbeatable combo for our builds here at the shop. Add in the TSP Oversized Power Valve Cover and Moto Tassinari V-Force 4X Reed Valve for even better response and bottom-end torque. To make on the fly adjustments easy, we added KTM Map Switch.
Up here in Colorado, the air is thin, the trails are gnarly, and the bikes get hot. The cooling is handled by the Samco Sport Radiator Hose Kit and Extreme Parts Radiator Fan Kit, essential for hard, hot days. These are both essential parts for our bikes.
Clutch and Exhaust
The clutch was upgraded to the Rekluse Radius X 4.0 for unbeatable control in gnarly sections. If you still haven’t tried any of the 4.0 clutches, you need to. It is such an upgrade over the 3.0 systems.
In Colorado, we need spark arrestors, and we try to keep our pipes from getting beat up as best as possible. We have that handled by an FMF Turbinecore 2.1 Silencer and E Line Carbon Fiber Pipe Guard.
Wheels & Tires
Grip and puncture resistance are handled by a Bridgestone X31 Front Tire, IRC VE-33S Rear Tire, and a Tubliss System at both ends.
Comfort & Ergonomics
To not get beat up, I added the Seat Concepts Comfort Seat, Motion Factory Racing Flex Mount Foot Pegs, and the XCGear Mako 360SX Handlebar Mount, which soaks up vibration and keeps you fresh. If you want to ride for a long time – whether in one day or into your sunset years – this product combination will help make that possible for you.
Protection & Durability
My two go-to brands for keeping the bike and myself protected are Molecule Motosport and Bullet Proof Designs. From Molecule, we added their Skid Plate, Handguards, Bar Ends, and Chain Guide.
The Bullet Proof Designs lineup includes thier Flange Guard, Throttle Body Guard, Clutch Cover, Radiator Guards, and Rear Disc Guard.
Additional Upgrades
Other upgrades include E Line Fork Guards, E Line Registration Wrap, and the Slavens Mule Graphics Kit for a personalized, pro-level finish.
