AltRider Adjustable Aluminum Side Stand for Tenere 700 is for riders who’ve dealt with the intimidating lean angle of this top-heavy adventure bike. Shorter riders especially struggle to keep a 500-pound bike upright when the OEM side stand creates such an aggressive angle. While others offer fixed-length alternatives or flimsy designs, AltRider engineered seven precise adjustment positions with bombproof construction.
The proof is in the interlocking geometry: Their adjustment mechanism uses coupling features that mechanically carry the bike’s weight, not just bolts in shear like cheaper alternatives. You could remove the adjustment bolts entirely and the stand would still support the bike – the bolts only prevent the parts from separating. This eliminates the primary failure mode of adjustable side stands where shear bolts snap under load.
Their machined billet aluminum construction is dramatically stronger than the die-cast OEM side stand, which suffers from porosity (air bubbles) that cause sudden failures. The 6061-T6 aluminum allows true anodization for a durable black finish that won’t chip or fade like painted die-cast parts.
