This event is sponsored by Slavens Racing and the Colorado Motorcycle Trail Riders Association and sanctioned by the American Motorcylist Association (AMA). The purpose is to enjoy a great dual sport/adventure ride, meet some new friends and raise funds for the legal defense of our right to ride trails and dirt roads. The ride will be 125-150 miles of scenic dirt roads and pavement with a mid-day stop for lunch. It will be approximately 70% dirt and 30% pavement. The dirt roads will be relatively smooth and suitable for big bore adventure (1190/1290/GS 1200) bikes BUT there is a 10 mile section that has a lot of potholes. All bikes must be street legal, insured, plated and a MC driver’s license will be required. Since there will be some pavement sections on state highway routes (65 mph) this ride is better suited to 650cc to 1200cc dual sport/adventure motorcycles.
The USFS 96 decibel law for exhaust noise WILL be enforced. If your motorcycle is loud you will not be allowed to participate.

About the Colorado TPA
The TPA is a 100 percent volunteer organization whose intention is to be a viable partner working with the United States Forest Service (USFS) and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to preserve the sport of trail riding. The TPA acts as an advocate of the sport and takes the necessary action to insure that the USFS and BLM allocate to trail riding a fair and equitable percentage of access to public lands. 100% of all donated funds go to the legal defense of public land access to motorcycles. The TPA does your dirty work; hires lawyers, hires consultants, goes to endless meetings with the feds and has boots on the ground fighting all possible land closure issues in Colorado, New Mexico and parts of Utah. Without the TPA we would have a lot less dirt to ride on.
