The Slavens Mule Quad Flow Torque Wings Kit by Thunder Products has vertical and horizontal air flow stabilizers which increase air flow and velocity by turning turbulent air into laminar air thereby increasing torque and horsepower. The wings divide the carburetor bore into four quadrants. This makes the throttle body bore act like it is much smaller at lower RPMs delivering increased torque and much improved throttle response and makes the throttle body act like it is larger at higher RPMs by increasing the velocity and air volume. The premise is to eliminate air turbulence and straighten out (laminar flow) air flow thereby increasing velocity and volume.
It’s common knowledge among tuners that smaller carburetors/throttle bodies produce more torque and improved throttle response at lower RPMs and bigger carburetors/throttle bodies produce more horsepower and over-rev at higher RPMs. The Slavens Mule Torque Wings Kit by Thunder Products for throttle bodies is the perfect combination, delivering the benefits of small and large throttle bodies.
By eliminating drops in velocity it eliminates dips in the powerband making the power more linear with increased torque and improved throttle response resulting in improved traction and rideability.
The Torque Wings have been designed to protrude out past both ends of the throttle body and into the intake manifold and air boot. This holds the air column together longer preventing turbulence.
These easy to install wings give a big increase in bottom-end and mid-range torque and performance with linear power delivery. A great bang for the buck!
