The Garmin inReach Mini 2 is your go-to device for maintaining off-the-grid contact. It’s a palm-sized satellite communicator for adventures where size and weight matter. With dimensions of 2″ x 4″ x 1″ this satellite connected communicator will fit virtually anywhere needed. You’ll lose this in your pack before any chance of being lost in the woods thanks to it’s GPS, maps, compass, and TracBack routing.
Garmin has packed tons of upgraded hardware into the new inReach Mini 2. Best of all, they were able to do so while keeping the size and weight exactly the same as the original inReach Mini. Starting with the lens, inReach Mini 2 now has chemically strengthened glass protecting the sunlight-readable, monochrome, transflective memory-in-pixel display which has increased from 128 pixels to 176 pixels. Battery life has substantially increased from 24 days to 30 days at 30 minute tracking intervals with standard activity recording and a full sky view. Maps and memory storage has doubled from 500 to 1000 waypoints/favorites/locations.
The original inReach Mini was equipped with three sensors. GPS, high-sensitivity receiver, and GPS compass (while moving). The new inReach Mini 2 is equipped with those three sensors as well as Galileo, QZSS, and standard compass (not moving) sensors. With a universal USB-C interface, IPX7 waterproof rating, and MIL-STD-810 impact rating the inReach Mini 2 is ready for any adventure you can throw at it.
